I had posted this on the other forums but I know you all would get a kick out of this.
About 2 weeks ago (10/03) I was at one of the regular Friday nite Street Wars at a local track and I happen to look across at who I was stagging against and saw it was a newer Z06 Corvette tinted out nice and black. In my mind no big thing just a Z06 I have gone against a couple...
Well as I launch ( please note I said I) I thought to myself... oh he is babying it. I then concnetrate on heading down the track...needless to say windows rolled up, my CORSA doing its WOT I hear a distinctive whine of turbo's...I look to my right and I swear I saw a BLUR go by... I thinking to myself WTF !!! then the next words out my mouth was WOW.
Okay I pull up to the timeslip box... I look at my timeslip....Great! I just ran a 11.84 @ 117 mph. I look across to the timeslip and see the frigging Z06 ran a 9.9426 @ 139.97mph. The bad part was HE PLAYED ME...LOL His reaction time was a 1.0528 meaning he had a short SNOOZE before he left.
Can you imagine your going down the track at a 11 sec pace...and a car beats your doors off by a FULL 2 secs.... that is by like a car going by and your going BACKWARDS. ( not standing still)
Needless to say he was kicked off the track...as he needed a whole bunch of safety gear to put on. I was IMPRESSED.
