got the broke trans out, and the th400 stuffed back in her so i could measure for the drive shaft. pulled the th400 back out and started to pull the engine last night. will have the engine out today and on a stand.:stripes::stripes::stripes:

got the engine out today, and broke down. was a good thing to. the head gasket on the drivers side was about to spew antifreeze into #1 and 7 clyinder. would have really sucked on a 150 hp shot! so the heads and intake go out tomorrow to the porter!

got my cam today! yess!!!!

237/246 .584/.584 107 LSA - 2400-6600 RPM Very choppy idle. Good mid range and great top end power.

11.80's n/a and mid to high 10's n2o. dyno #'s are hit and miss with a th400 and 3600 stall. the few cars that are running this h/c/i setup ( fairly new cam grind for le ) are hitting around 410-430 n/a, mostly 6speeds though.

nothing really speacial, just been shaved .030"..makes the chambers 56cc's. and with my pistons being -5cc flattops and .005" in the hole with a .026" head gaskets she'll have around 12.3-1 compression.....






oh yea and alittle port and poilsh to let her breath in and out a whole lot better! waiting on the matching intake to get here. should see that monday.

lol, i can see there's almost no metal under the valve and intake port meaning you got hella razor burn. and those intake ports are bout the size of mine, just giving you a hard time.

you using the H/G's with the o-rings?

lol! there only a stage 1 port job. with these heads, intake and cam combo, the porter is seeing 420ish rwhp. no orings in the gaskets. only hitting a 150 shot on her. so with the arp pro head bolts she'll be fine. George Coleman is building the shortblock to handle a much bigger shot of nitrous, so if i ever get froggy and want to hit it with a little more she'll take it.

the short block is getting splayed mains, eagle forged crank, eagle 6" hbeams w/arp2000 bolts, je pistons w/tool steel pins and hellfire rings.

Looking good Chris.

If your still keeping this as a DD you might want to look into getting a light hooked up with the water pump to monitor power. That way if your pump fails you'll know it before your temps. spike.
