This is the info & pre-registration page for the NASA Mid-Atlantic Championship Autocross #6 at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia on Sunday August 31st, 2008. This event will take place for a maximum of 60 entries (two long 30-car heats) on another big/fast/fun Langley course (designed by Dale Blankenship, utilizing both the oval and the infield.) Participants should expect at least 6-8 timed runs each. Only 50 spots will be available in advance - we are saving 10 for day-of signups.

The tentative schedule is:
9:00am gates open
10:00am reg & tech open
10:45am course walk
11:15am drivers meeting
12:00pm FIRST TIMER FREEBIE RUNS
12:45pm Heat 1
3:00pm Heat 2
5:00pm cleanup

Spectating is free and encouraged. EVERYONE on-site will need to sign the waiver and get a wristband immediately upon arrival. Food & drinks will be available from the track.

Well, the day turned out alright. The track was slippery as ice. I would have done better wearing ice skates instead of tires. It's definetly interesting getting loose doing 50 MPH 15 feet from a concrete wall.

I haven't watched the vids yet but I'll post 'em up when I get them uploaded. Not sure how well it shows how bad traction was.

I'm still king with the fastest clean lap from this site. Not by much though.
