looks nice. any plans for the build?
Taking measurements and making patterns tomorrow. If time permits I'll be building the box as well. I'm considering what might be required to build more if anyone is interested.

i used lots of cardboard and tape to make templates, cutting and taping till i had it right, then took the templates and transferred them to wood to make my amp rack. fit perfect the first time.

try doing some fiber glassing for the bottom area because of the form of it buckets in the back and the way they go over the ball buster!

John
You'll need probably 1/2" wood for the final product. John is right right with the cardboard and tape. That's the best way to do it.
Chad used to install systems as well. Take his advise.

no wood, press board is much denser and produces much more bass response.

That's what I meant. Wood was easier to type.

I would like to see the final product.
So far looks good and fits the space well but need Free Air Subs to fit the box since it isn't fully enclosed...

as long as the air exiting is restricted it will produce bass.
Actually found a good deal on subs.

check out the infinity reference series 10.1.... that's what i have and it can be either a free air (needs more power) or enclosed (less power requirements). I got a buy one get one free, free shipping, for 149 from crutchfield. very good bass, without being obnoxiously loud. also, if you haven't done the floor area, a trick is to take aluminum foil and form it to the floor. extend it well up the sides, back and over the hump. then lay fiberglass in to build a form. once dry, take it out, remove the aluminum foil, trim to fit and you have a custom molded bottom.
Thanks for the tip on the foil. I'll definitely be doing that with the fiberglass to seal the floor, hadn't thought of that.
Here's a picture of the current progress.

Just some thoughts for how to mount the speakers..
1. Without grills
2. With grills (I bought them just in case I go this route).
3. Upside down (super blingy install)

It's done except for hiding the wires.
Finished it. Drained my battery and now have the car on the charger. Sounds nice too and about 20 lbs lighter than the original install. Bad azz,,,,

Sweet now you can run the twisty with some tunes
Yeah, this turned out really pretty good. Now I just have to get that darn Optispark replaced (AGAIN) and the car should be in good form again. Next race is only 2 weeks away. I'll have new optispark and all new hoses this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong.
Looks like I need to rewire this thing. I've got some clipping which is most likely due to a poor ground. I'll get that done this weekend. Now I see why people use such heavy gage wire. DOH!
