It is my understanding that Jenros is in danger of going away due to preasure from other shops in the center.:WTF:

I think it may be time to restart the Chevy's Show. Maybe with the help of CCCHR, Tide Water Mopar's, TTAC, HRfbody, and other local clubs we make this a better more organized show. Just a thought

Jenro's is quickly dying too. I was out there this weekend. I got there about 8:15 and only about 15 cars were there. At 9:10 only 4 cars and I was one of them so I went home shortly after.

Jenro's only lasts from say 3 to 6 but as of the last 2 or 3 years everyone slowly went to BPS till there were just a few of us that went to Jenro's. I think Jenro's is gonna get stupid big and I don't think they really ahve the room for it.

So, do we want to try to spark something at Chevy's? I'm not sure they have enough space to support this on Saturday night really since they have regular customers. They will also very likely shut it down when it starts getting big.

There are only a few lots big enough for this so its really hard to do. Since the people typically don't buy anything eventually the shop owners get tired of it and ask you to leave. BPS only lasted a year before it started getting out of hand. I actually considered that maybe a parking garage wouldn't be a bad place for this since you've paid to park and they can't kick you out. There also wouldn't be any burnouts or crazy stuff and it would probably also work in the winter when it starts getting colder out.

Any thoughts?

i got a spot ! A friend of mine owns a reteraunt in norfolk off little creek. He has parking for 80 + cars.

This always happens !!! Who remembers the fotains in newport news?? It was a great place till the ricers showed up and screwed us out of it .


And i know another prob at BPS was a few weeks back when that f-in magnum club came up there and 1 had like lambo doors on it and the dumasses were doin half ass power brakin in the parkin lot so we cant just blame the ricers

Jenros last week was pretty decent. Now that BPS is done it will probably be more crowded.

Hey guys sorry i haven't been around but reality strikes some times.
Moved to Va Bch two weeks ago,(just me)
Been busy @ work and setting up new place.
Went to the new cruise in out by Langley AFB got turned away was told 1983 and older cars only by the people who where in charge @ BPS.
So went to Jenro's it was ok but I didn't get there til after 7:00 pm.
Lots of Tri- Fives Packards Mopars and GTOs a little of every thing.

Ok the latest word I hear is that it was not the ricers that brought BPS to a screeching halt but possibly a group of chargers.... Anyone heard of a group called Changin Lanes? This is ALL speculatory.... I don't know anyone with the bps event and Changin lanes name was brought up by a third party as a likely possibility as to who the chargers were

^at this point, who cares...the show's dead and nailing them (or whoever the responsible party was) to the wall, won't bring it back. Finding out who's to blame could help prevent other cruise-ins from getting shut down, but in regards to BPS...too little, too late

yeah but I wanted to be fair.... Cause I for one know I did not hesitate to quickly place the blame on the ricers... so if there is word that there was someone else to blame I would wanna make sure I told both sides... I think it makes everyone look bad...we're all car enthusiasts, regardless of our platform of choice, but because of a few bad apples, we all got booted out. Thanks to whoever's responsible, I'm just as not welcome as they are

This is the problem with the public view of our hobby. We can do countless event for the community and charities, have thousands of responsible hobbyist and one or two act up and we all look like trouble makers. I wish we knew who they were if for no other reason than to make sure the were banned for all other events.

Unfortunately this hobby attracts a fair share of idiots and we're all sometimes guilty of a little foolishness. The problem is some people aren't mature enough to know when to turn it off. Any event that isn't formal will always have some of that so its rare that things last more than a few months usually. In a way is better to have a police presence at these type events because it keeps people from getting out of hand. I have a feeling that's the only reason Jenro's has lasted so long.

Hate to say it because I'm not a big fan of the cops usually, but in this case they would have done a lot to keep things in check and keep BPS going much longer than it lasted...
