It was blistering hot yesterday at the Richmond Dragway. By the time I arrived and attempted one of my first runs the temperature was over 100 degrees and it felt twice as hot down at the track. Many times I was so tempted to turn on the air conditioner while sitting in the staging lanes.
I was able to make about 5 runs before I just plan gave up as I became way more heat soaked then the car. I just wanted to get some practice for my launching since I kind of still suck. Needless to say the traction off the line was horrible due to the blistering temp but a improvement as I did not bog or go into limp mode.
I did have one great 60' ft burn out off the line which alot of folks commented on LOL. 2.3 60 ' and ET of 12.4 @ 116
All my times were consistant ETs of 12.4, 12.2. 12.1 and twice at 12.0 @ 115-116 mph I could not break into the 11's. Given with 1.9 - 2.3 60's I was not going to get there.
The car has alot of potential and it showed that even heat soaked it is capable of pulling strong. Now need to get the driver 'Tuned in"
