Worst day ever at the track

I can imagine the chattering going on at the GTI forums I almost lost to a GTI ...heck a V6 could have beat me as I bogged not once, not twice, but 3 times off the line.

The first one immediately from the line went into LIMP mode ...TCM shut me down and my timeslip showed NONE for 1/8 & and 1/4 tine since I coasted all the way down the line.

Second run I again bogged ...TCM shut me down briefly went but I managed to regain traction but I ended with a 15.1835@106.53 and the GTI ran 15.2296@96 oh well.

Going good so far with having a 0 sec with no ET and MPH , a 15sec and finally a 12.94@115.47 again with a bog.

At Least some redemption as I was right on the tail of a Mustang with cage and wheelie bars as his ET was 11.8502@115.71

I am sure going to have to figure out how to tame all that torque or I will be needing a Rolling start handicap.

Come to think about it... this my worst time yet as about 20 years ago I had a 200HP 1987 Conquest TSI and a 89 Supra with times around 14.5s @97mph

So the car is fighting you when you are racing? what did brent and frank say about that?

WE will call it operator error. There was nothing wrong with the car as it did what it was designed to do. As in anything new...you test and learn....new engine...all the TQ and power...you have to learn all over again how to drive it.
Bigger the beast easier you have to be in the handling as it can bite you back.

well I took my hind parts to VMP to make a gallent effort to redeem myself.....

Needless to say...I can now smile. I was able to only get three runs in due to the big Pontiac event and all. I was the only Chrysler LX running. Well put it this way.... they learned that there is such a thing as a 11sec 4 door Luxury car. I ran two back to back 11.9 sec runs. First was a 11.929@116.24 and then the second was a 11.901@116.20
