all domestic car show

Ok yall i need a couple volunteers. I have been givin the chance to run a car show in Va beach at my shop. The lot is big enuff for 50-65 cars. I have been givin the chance to have most the trophies paid for . I got Napa ,carquest and a few other part stores that wanna have a small display and offern raffle prises . I got all that coverd so far . we are shootin for the 3rd sunday in augest . Hrfbody will be the name on the show title,but it is not limited to just hrf . I think we should hold it as a all domestic welcome show. i am plannin on pickin some ford guys to help judge the chevys and chevy guys to judge fords with some alternate people that aint in a club at all .

Here is what i need .
1. we need to find a good charity to donate the funds to . i have a few in mind like Seaton house for teens,childrens special olympics or spca,somethin for vets, just some ideas

2. i need people who will help me organise this and make sure all aspects are covered . If you say you will help me then please do and dont bail on me .

3. ill need people the day of the show who are willing to help out

4. I need to know if anyone knows a good dj that will donate some time .

Please let me know your tips and advise and ideas

Cooter, I do believe that the best person for this sort of thing that you're doing is deeccchr2008. She is a member here. She is one of the founding members of CCCHR and If I'm not mistaken,the Prez of CCCHR. I know all this cause I was there with her. I've known her for approx. 20 years and in my opinion she is the best in the whole Hampton Roads area. Shoot her a PM and see what she says. :stripes:

That is a great Idea! I also know that Jazz used to DJ and still has all of the equipment and you may be able to talk him it to doing the DJ deal if he can bring the ECD banner out too.

Charity.....The electric league of hampton roads donates proceeds to St. Mary's home for disabled children. I had the oppertunity to visit the facility...it's an experience I'll never forget. The staff and kids there are outstanding.

Quikstang, I whole-heartedly agree with you on the choice of charity. I visited the facility when it was at the foot of the Berkely Bridge. I still donate to them every year since then.
