Whats up fella's... saw the website address on the back of a beautiful(great sounding) Mach 1. red in color, had a 3 guage pod on the A pillar... sounded good, looked good, saw the sticker, so i figured i'd check it out. I'm 23,married, and i've got a 1 year old son. I'm from Houston, here for the military. Got a '95 Mustang GT here in Va that i have a 351W i was going to build, but due to cost, i'm working out a trade with a guy for a set of heads, an intake and Hooker headers for my 302. I've also got a '95 GT home in my parents garage in Houston that is awaiting a 390 engine swap when i get home...N0S1

welcome to the area and the website
Thanks... I've actually been here in the norfolk/Va beach area for almost 4 years... only got about 6 and a half months left till i'm back in Texas...
The Mach was beautiful, and it sounded good. I was in the family car ('01 Civic) so i just watched from afar. LOL
Thanks for joining dude. Texas isn't that far away either!

far enough away to keep the wife and I away from our parents, and the kiddo from his grandparents... i've made the drive to texas and back 4 times... not a pleasant trip. once without the baby, once while the wife was pregnant, and twice after my son was born.
I was stationed in Utah at Dugway Proving Grounds. -10 in the winter 110 in the summer and "town" was 40 miles away. Made that drive four times with the wife (back here to VA). She's my ex-wife now, guess she never did forgive me.
Texas is nice too by the way. Always liked it there and still have friends there.
Also, let us know if you have a myspace page. Some of us are there, we'll add ya!

socalmach... to bad i didn't see you before Sunday, we had a small photoshoot with 5 other mustangs and a Lightning on Friday evening on Va beach Blvd, next door to where all the highschool kids were hanging out at Fudruckers on the corner of Independence.
So, what's the black 1/4 horse run? :)

I was born in Pasadena, and I have family down in Houston.
I lived mainly just south of Amarillo in Canyon, and I went to college in Lubbock. I also have family in Canyon and Happy.

Lubbock... i assume Tech? I've got 3 younger brothers, one is at A&M, one is a senior in highschool, prolly going to end up playing baseball at Hill college outsid of Waco, the youngest is in Junior high, all in or around Houston for now. we've looked out at Canyon and inside amarillo... we got married in Amarillo August of '06. Not 100% sure where we'll end up
Jazz... my car has never seen a track. She's slow... only got 70mm TB, JLT CAI, and a hurst short throw shifter... I was in the process of building a 393, but i think i'm going to trade the block and parts i've acquired to my buddy for a Holley intake and heads, and hooker equal length headers... it's more affordable for me right now. She'll prolly go to the track in May when i come back from Alabama(around the 15th) that way i can get the gears in, and possibly the H/C/I and tune.
Actually I don't really have a lot more mods than you do engine wise. I'd definitely like to run you sometime just to get an idea since we're almost the same year. Ford vs. GM - I do understand the F-body has an advantage so imagine how embarrassed I'll be when I lose! :)

I doubt that very seriously... my car has 150,000 miles... she's defiantely seen better days. I'm the 3rd owner, however the first 9 years, Ford leased her out, so God only knows how many people went through her, and how hard... i'll run you for fun no problem... but i doubt very seriously you would lose...

Don't worry man I got your back:yep:
Dude, I wasn't throwing stones, just curious. I mean DANG! Besides, you ALL know my car is a piece of crap and hasn't been on the road in MONTHS. It also has over 180,000 miles and one of the rod bearings is made out of a strip cut from a tuna fish can.<-- (Learned how to do that one on HRF Tech)

I've seen many a 10 bolt implode on itself... had to help a buddy pick up the pieces of the rearend, and driveshaft one night a few years ago...
hum.... I hear a LOT of you guys talking... :) and I'm taking names!
Hopefully I'll get the last bugs out of the car soon, its been nothing but gremlins and most of the problems haven't made sense. It still doesn't to me honestly, going to have to chase the whole circuit...

I bought my car 2 years ago this month, had plans for a HCI and a few other little goodies, then the wife and i found out we were pregant, so all my car stuff got put on hold... now my son is over a year old and i was gonna start my build again, then the wife and i decided to possibly start trying for another. LOL...
I am talking with a friend about trading my 351W project for his Holley heads and intake, and possibly those Hooker shorties he's got. I'd prefer longtubes, but i'll stick what i can get. add a cam of unknown specs at this moment, and a good tune. i should be doing ok... any of you guys in the Hampton roads area, can you reccomend a good tuner? my buddy had his Cobra tuned at DTP and they did great, and he was very pleased... only cost him $200.

Ever seen a broke ford mechanic???
ever seen a Ford 8.8 blow up like a GM 10 bolt?
Ford motors make enough torque to break a rear end? Hadn't heard that before...

Haven't broken the one in my car now, but i had a '99 V6 on Nitrous that would run in the 12.9 range i built... i was able to blow the 7.5 in it on slicks spraying off the line.
Replaced it with an 8.8 w/ 3.73's... A Ford with a 393 stroker makes enough torque, as does the 390 BB i've got sitting in my shed.:boxing:

I got the new Strange engineering catalog in the mail about 2 weeks ago, just haven't had the time to sit down and flip through it... can't decide on moser's or Strange... figure if these heads my buddy THINKS are Holley, end up being GT40's, then ima spend that money on the rear suspension and inside the rearend, then see how fast i can get my little stock 150,000 mile 5.0 to run...
I figure a solid rear suspension will net me a little lower ET

Yeah, i've heard good things about them... they're also priced about the same as the Mosers, so cost really won't affect that decision.
Actually I had an SVO Mustang on spray back in the day, never broke and axel but was pretty fast. Was just kidding anyway, I usually am...

Got a buddy with a turbo 4... the engine is an actual SVO engine, the body is just some random 4 banger body that the engine was planted in... he's trying to sell it... it spits oil like a mofo. the guy he bought it from didn't put the front main seal in right, and it will go through a QT of oil a day just sitting in the driveway. LOL... however, we might tear the turbo motor out and drop in the 405 horse 306 he's picking up... have his airdale buddy make the enterior door panels and dash in brushed aluminum. he's already working on a brushed aluminum rear drag spoiler... we'll see how that comes out.
