Hey all...I just learned about this forum from Profit of Doom. Currently, I'm a member of a number of forums...what can I say...I love my car and I love sharing with fellow enthusiasts.
I guess my "claim to fame" is my website...Hampton Roads Mopar Enthusiasts (HRME) (www.hr-mopar.info). Here's a blurb about what HRME is:
The Hampton Roads Mopar Enthusiasts (HRME) website was started in April 2006, with the purpose of providing Mopar owners and enthusiasts with the opportunity to associate with other people with like interests.
The primary goals of HRME are:
To have fun with our hobby.
To promote increased interest in Mopars.
To make owning a Mopar an enjoyable and proud experience.
To assist Mopar owners in the maintenance and preservation of their vehicles by providing information, literature, and parts location assistance.
These goals, together with our purpose, are in keeping with the highest standards of Mopar enthusiasts.
Participation is open to anyone and everyone who would like to enjoy the significant benefits of joining others who share a common interest in Mopars; who would like to help others learn more about their car(s) and how to modify, maintain, and preserve it (them); and who would like the opportunity to participate in local shows and activities.
The success of HRME depends largely on you?people who provide assistance and insight; participate in local activities; provide historical facts, technical tips, and sources for parts, meetings, conventions and shows; and contribute their ideas, energies, and talents towards promoting our hobby and having fun?which is what HRME is all about.
While the site is dedicated to Mopars, I'd like to invite everyone in the Hampton Roads area to take advantage of my Calendar of Events. I try my best to include all the local events, as well as events from the surrounding area...so if you know of something that I don't have listed, please let me know. I try to stay away from the single make/manufacturer only shows...except for the Mopar ones (after all, it is a Mopar site :) )
Finally, I host a charity car show to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I've posted more info on the show in the Events forum, so please check it out.
That's about it.
Oh yeah...here are some pics of my baby. My wife started calling her "The Mistress" when I got her (since she said that my car is the only other woman that I'm allowed to have in my life), and the name has stuck. If you see me around, give me a shout!
