First, one of our food vendors, The Pink Ladies Cafe, will be raising money in support of the Relay for Life. Second, a group will be selling raffle tickets for a new Harley Davidson motorcycle. The raffle tickets will be $25 each, and only 2500 tickets will be sold. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to benefit the Special Olympics. The actual drawing will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008. More information on the raffle will be available at the show. Finally, the Pinup Angels will have a booth/tent set up at the show. They call themselves the Pinup Angels, but they are true red, white, and blue pin-ups. They have brought back the roots of pin-up by supporting our troops overseas. Pin-ups have been giving uplifting moral support to our soldiers since WWI. Now, in 2008, the Pinup Angels continue this tradition by raising money and sending care packages to our troops deployed overseas. The packages are filled with snacks, toiletries, magazines, and other media. They also drop in a photo or two of themselves doing what they do best! More information on the Pinup Angles will be available at the show. Or, you can check them out at www.thepinupangels.com.
