removing air on lt1?

i think it's called the air pump, or air, or ari, not sure, anyway, have any of you fbody guys ever took it off? i'm looking to clean out from under my hood pretty soon and since it's not even hooked up, i might as well trash it....

If I'm not mistaken it's part of the emissions stuff. Yes it can be romeoved.
I don't think it's that hard.

yeah, theres a part that hooks up to my exhaust manifold that i'm trying to figure out what i need to block it off, since i dont have headers yet, i'll be needing to block it off or either buy some headers, i say the headers, wife sais block it off, gotta love her....

I've got some extra aluminum plating that you can cut to make a block off plate. If your gonna be out at Chevys on Saturday I can bring it with me.

sweet, how thick is it? i think i found the block off bolt, but if it's not thick i can use it for my nitrous switchplate or my solenoid mounts.

It's a 1/4" thick. For some stupid reason I was thinking the show at Chevys was this weekend but I'll be in the Beach area all day Saturday if you wanna meet up to get it.
