YEAH, that is definitely a low ball price for a stroker LT-1.

Thanks for the heads up Chris!

yes he uses alot of your old parts no matter how many miles r on them. and uses used parts that he buys off of people too!

that's what I thought, no new pistons or pins or rods or even bolts I bet. Just new rings (if that even) bearings and a high volume pump. I know my engine acts like its new with the freshening I did but I also know its got a lot of miles on it... at least I KNOW what I've got though....

it did have a new eagle rotating assy in it. but it had a reground stockcam, 140,000 mile lifters and pushrods. and a set of unknow cheap ass springs.

i finally got his attention! i knew if i posted this on enough fbody, lt1, lsx forums he or someone he knows would see it. and bam it happened. lol! he showed up on camaroz28.com. we had quite the little private messaging converstion going on! lol! he even threatened me with a lawyer for slander. but all i was doing was stating the facts! and asked him if his lawyer and the city he lives in knows he is running a business out of his home with no license!? was quite funny!

i started bringing up the issues with the engine. and he blamed my friend for the problems with the engine! lmao!! finially he stopped pm'ing me all together. lol!

his reply on the open forum;

In reply to grn95t/a assessemnt of the engine I built, I submit the following. The heads were customer supplied and untouched by me because when the car arrived it had 2 blown head gaskets and water in the oil, the heads were questionable, they later checked out fine, they already had someone into porting them, I do not re-port already ported cores. The customer paid for a high 11 sec low 12 sec motor, thats what it was, as far as the other items you listed, anything can happen when you over rev!!! I Build several dozen of these every year with no complaints, except this one. Had I known there was a problem I would have investigated and even if it was not my fault I would have helped him by replacing the parts in question. Hope this helps silence the accusations!

total ****! the remark on the heads is a lie! i was standing next to my friend at eds shop when his car was on the dyno being tuned by ed and not performing as expected. so my friend called the builder to ask some questions about the heads and springs. asked the extent of the port job. and was told that he did a mild pocket port. and that the springs that were in stalled were just big enough for the small ass cam that he put in. it was like a 224/230 534/540. pretty **** small for a 383!

Chris, I assume that you build engines? Do you work for The HP Factory?

People like that make the rest of us look bad. I hope he gives a full refund to make up for the sub par work.

yes they do, and the worst part is he is a preacher. no refund was ever offered , he doesn't give any warranty. but my buddy did recoup a little of his money back from him. when the motor didn't perform as expected he called the preacher with the concerens and got nowhere with him. so we decided the heads and cam where just too small and it was time to pull them off and go better. and thats when the fun began. the preacher decided he wanted to buy the heads , cam, rockers, and pushrods back!

and when we tore the motor down and found all the carange, we decided it was time to turn the tables on this guy. so my friend called him and told him the stuff was off the car and ready to ship. and offered to sell him the pistons too. he bit on that also.so i belive he ended up getting about 1000 back. but the biggest concern was this retard was going to put this used stuff back into some one else's engine!!! thats when i had enough with this joker. i had been keeping my eye on ebay waiting for him to start posting his crap agian, and bam there he was agian. i have had some fun with this jerk and hope that i have saved some people some money and heartaches.

Actually I guess I've got the job I always wanted. It's got some downsides but most jobs do. I travel a lot which is both good and bad but I also get to do some engineering. Things could definitely be worse...
