were pretty close to being done with the body and such. ryan's waiting for the parts to come in so he can drop the block and stuff off at performance unlimited. and then bring it to you when there done with the machine work. was curious ed if you were going to degree the cam? oh yes he's looking to hit it with a 200hp shot when its said and done! the shop is were i work at. it's pretty big. has to be to pull an international and trailer in at the same time. works pretty good when its time to turn a wrench or two on some fbodies too!! lol!!

Yes I degree the cam. I dont plot the whole thing, just make sure the ICL is were its supposed to be.
What kinda rods are in that thing? I see they are I-beams, but are they the good steel? 5140 I think it is?
Is he gonna 4 bolt the block? I would recommend it for a 200 hit.

cool thats what i was hoping, just to check the icl. those ibeams r gone. he just bought the eagle hbeams to replace them. no 4bolt but we r putting in the good arp bolts. think he should keep it to a 150hp shoot to be safe?

I like to know the caps arent walking around. I like to splay all the 2 bolt blocks.

**** good idea! i'll talk him into that.

couldn't get him to bite on the splayed mains. looking at spending another $500.00 to do that and his funds arn't there for that. so we will cross our fingers and hope for the best. maybe just talk him into just a 150hp shot instead.

Yeah, I'd agree on the mains, I'm pretty sure my next motor will have splayed mains since I'll probably be sprayin it.

I am not worried at all man.. In fact this build wouldn't be possible w/o your knowlegde and effort.. we have both put alot of hours in this car and she will be well worth the time and effort

Hey, if you guys ever need an extra hand give me a shout. Sometimes and extra body can come in handy!

Still a pretty great job on the motor. Keeping the RPM's lower will help keep the bottom end together. As velocity goes up for the moving parts the forces they exert really goes up.

Good luck!
