import a Monaro. haha j/k. I love GTO's, if i could afford one i'd buy one. The 05'-06's with the LS2 look nasty. So i say go for it!
I'm actually thinking the GTO is a little heavy for my taste. I think I'd go Corvette :)

they have great interiors, and good performance...styling is way too bland for my taste

I am thinking it could be woke up with just a few mods. and mad to be a great daily/sleeper.
And they are droping into the low 20's so not so pricey
$20,000 for a used car? What is the world coming too. I usually spend less than $2000 for cars I buy :)

i've riden in a 04 when they just came out, it was a cool ride. Now with the LS2 makes it even better. BUT. again with the traction, if you look at them, there is no room for any big tires in the back. I've seen one at Bass Pro with a roots type supercharger, it was awesome, and whistles very loud... but has little tires on the back....

Spend the $$ and get a new G8

Still a lot of $$$ for the G8 and then no money for mods

The equinox is alright... she won't ever ride in the Trans Am, i think she is scared of it, because when we first started dating i took her sideways going around a left turn... and she yelled at me. So now everywhere we go is in the purple equinox. Its not a bad ride, little top heavy. Good gas mileage. It needs some tint on the windows.

she won't ride in my t/a too much either. either it's too loud our it rides rough! nag, nag, nag! lol! ours is electric blue. it does look much better with the windows tinted. the rears came tinted and i had the fronts tinted to match. she likes it so i guess thats all that counts.

I agree. I wish American automakers could get it all right. Inside and out. The GTO is a great car under the hood and a car that most gearheads like us really like. However, it is just too "vanilla" for me. Not very original styling. Then there is the Fiero I own. One of the best looking cars I have ever seen, but it is crap under the hood. It takes an engine swap to bring it to it's full potential. BTW, anyone got an extra 3800sc laying around? :D

The big question is how much? I really can't afford one right now. Thanks for mentioning it. I made the comment in jest. One day though if I can get rid of all these kids. :D
