Not sure how right those times are cause I think stock cobras run 12.6's or something... But its still not in the same category as the vette or the viper even if its similair in price.

check out the "drag pack" version of the mustang. they have one up where i bought my f-150....pretty sweet. option on invoice listed ...get this....
drag radials, for track use only. located in trunk. came with line lock button and all connections and solenoids, just not connected. said #xx of 80 made. basically a roush stage 3 blower, the line lock, different converter, d/r's and a monster tach with shift light. boasted 430 hp and 450 lb/ft tq. nice looking ride, but not for 50g's.....

Yeah, seems like the factory is trying to turn back the clock to the '60s with the drag packs and factory hot rods. The only difference is they aren't great bargains compared to the base car. They add $5k worth of parts and charge $20k for it...

with those that grew up in the 60's able to afford the $$ to get one and relive their teenage years, it's a steal. that's who those cars are marketed to. next time you see a gt500ktr, or a z06, look at who's driving. i just hope the geriatric crowd doesn't gobble up all the new camaro's. i'm going to chevy dealer to put my name on a list to get one, if they have a list yet...gonna check and see.....

Yeah, I guess for my 40th b-day I'll finally get that Corvette I've been wanting. Only a couple years away :( or :) depends on how you look at it...

i wish the camaro was coming out in 08, that would be my 40th b-day present to myself....although i really need another garage for the toys that are accumulating......

what year corvette? i want a 2000 6 speed with targa top... or the hardtop one, that was cool
