What is this part? I need this thing to finish my car

I broke this thing off today, just as i was finishing up for the night. Its on the back of the motor, some sensor or something. 2000 LS1 is the motor. WTF is it? Does anybody have one i can get off a donor motor or something?

use the proper oil sender socket to replace it or you can distort the new one and have problems with it.
