ok, so there's this guy i know from back home, cool guy, he drives a import, yet, he's a cool guy, he knows i own his ass any day of the week, so he calls me up today and tells me about these two guys....one guy told him he has a corvette with a big block 350 that puts out 500 horsepower, so i chuckled at the thought and then thought, and chuckled some more. Then his friend, yet another rich kid, came up with the thought that he had a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE TURBOED Vette, now keep in mind, these kids really do drive corvettes, so you would expect them to be a little mechanically inclined, but no.So i laughed, and then i got sickened by the ignorance of todays youth with money and nice cars...it should be mandatory to know about your car and know the basic facts of it. .....BANG!!!!!!!!

No it's not a problem sprayin, just thought you have some wisdom for your age. I do dislike the kids with overpriced toys that dont appreciate them. Im sure you're like me in the fact that we have earned everything we have. Im not saying i had unsupportive parents, cause they are the best rents a kid like me could have, but they made me work for stuff i wanted and didnt just spoil me. I see where you're coming from.

i appreciate it ak, i don't think i'm jealous of the kids, i really feel sorry for them, i'm just as happy with my 3500 dollar f body that i know a lot of **** about as they are with there 60,000 dollar cars that they don't know jack **** about, ya know...i got a 92 silverado that i saved up for when i was 16, and by the time i left for basic, it was a nice truck, and then i bought my f-body, i've earned everything i've got, i may be broke half of the time for it, but i earn it dime by dime, ya get what i'm saying? and to see a kid with a 60,000 dollar car sickens me, not because i can't have it, because they'll never have the bond that someone who turns wrenches on there ride has with there car. poor kids......SPRAY ON!N0S1

I found my firebird in the back of some old mans house. I worked the state fair for a few weeks and saved enough to buy it. Now ive spent 15 grand restoring it and i learned alot about cars in general. I think it gives someone greater satisfaction in themself to actually buy a whip than to get one as a gift.

like i said... i've been driving pos's my entire life... i joined the military and actually make the money to have a Trans Am.. I've been in love with T/A's my whole life. Sometimes i say "well maybe i should sell it and buy something more practical" but whats the fun in practical when the sound of my exhaust makes people want to change lanes so they can hear themselves think

i agree, i thought about selling mine quite a few times, and yeah, i never had the money to own anything nice until i joined the military...and driving to ga and back a few times a year, yeah i should get something better on gas, but the looks i get when i ride by and people give me thumbs up when i rev the engine, no better feeling....

I'm 23 and I've owned 14 FBodys, 13 of which were thirdgens, had 1 GTA, the forth gen was a formula. I've pretty much owned every thirdgen and have had every option. Most kids just don't understand and mostly cause there parents are the same way. I had some kids dad argue with me that his sons Subaru STI had a 4cyl in it. He said it had a 6. So its more a fault of todays day and age and I just rty and help these "kids" on it. All of us at one point in time have made mistakes. Some of us even had 20's on our rides (just given you ****) LOL.

I would have to agree with everyone here. I can see my past in the comments made and I will drive a muscle car till the day I die. There is just something about driving some thing you put together combined with the sound and feel that makes it addictive.

ok, so i was young and stupid when i was 18, a whole 6 months ago, lol....i learned quick, atleast i chose hp over looks as far as the 20's went, and i agree with you joe, there's nothing like sweating, turning wrenches, and hitting the bone that allows curse words to come out, making your ride what it is and then waking up everyone morning and walking out to it and saying yep, that's mine...it's worth every cut, scrape and sweat at the end of the day...
