first to post in this area....so here goes....
be nice to know what works and doesn't. heads/cam/headers/suspension/tires, spec's. etc. no ricer mods either (ie. polished tb. must be 20+ lb/ft to be worthy).
no dyno slips. there's a separate spot for them.
post up what ya did (mod), cost ($$), and torque gains...then hp gains...
i say torque first since that's the shiznit and gets ya goin....hp is cheap but ya gotta go first. NO2 don't count IMO. high hp numbers mean squat when it comes to leaving first. hp mean top end.....and usually around 5500 rpm.
and as a post script....did you do it yourself or did you pay someone to do it? (tuning doesn't count, i mean turnin wrenches on the install)

Just a question Why does NO2 not count? And I don't mean some back yard job, but a real setup like direct port injection with a progresive controler.

Why doesnt tuning count? No point in having a 525 BBC with a blower if you can't tune it. Plus a P & P job on a tb can do wonders for a motor.

Why doesn't free mods (Polishing TB Takeing screens out) not count? Evey little bit counts. Oh and I've seen 600 TQ numbers with 350 HP and it ran 13.5's with drag radials but I've seen 425HP 450TQ car run 11's. And why no Dyno slips how the hell do you know how much power you made other wise. Oh and NO2 is a power adder just like a turbo or supercharger so don't play the NO2 is cheating crap cause its no were near true. But a turbo is more fun

what i was getting at was combos/packages...
tuning counts for everything these days i agree and that is a given that it would be tuned, no brainer there.
as for the polished tb, water bypass, etc, they add miniscule amounts IMO and since there are all sorts of freebie things like that already posted up on ls1 and various other sites and no need to repost them.
as for dyno slips. we have a separate area for those already.
what i was thinking of was something like....
lsx/4.9, 5.0. 350 etc.....
internal mods (pistons, crank, rods)
heads (make, model, etc)
cam (specs, manufacturer)
intake (type, injector size, etc)
ignition
exhaust
drivetrain mods
then a small comment on how it all worked together, along with anything that didn't work well together (heads/cam/intake not compatible, gears too low for the street etc) and how well it worked as a dd or was it only good for the track. that's what i was getting at.
as for nox, i'm not a fan of it, but post it up anyhoo....
sorry for ruffling the feathers....
So, what's on my car...
Hurst Short Throw Shifter
Hooker Cat Back
Ram Air Hood
Crane Fireball Ignition
Open Cat :) that always makes me laugh a little inside :)

So, as you can see my car is basically a stock LT1 with minimal bolt on's. It should be slower than it is apparently... No matter, its getting a new motor soon and will be naassstttiee... :)
Oh, I forgot --
Eibach Pro's with 1 additional coil off the front
New stock shocks and struts
1 LE front sway bar
Poly swaybar bushings (front and rear)
1 LE Rear panhard rod
Subframe connectors (weld in - still in the box)
Lower control arm relocating brackets (also still in the box)
Summit racing seat -- not too shabby

01 z-28 6 speed
stock engine/drivetrain (LS1 engine, LS6 Intake, Z06 clutch)
CAI (K&N filter makes a difference)
Flowmaster cat back (sounds good, but don't think it's helping)
BMR weld in sub-frame connectors (HUGE difference in handling)
17"SS rims with bfg 275/40/17's KDWS's all around.
that's as of today...will update thursday after headers/high flow cats/possible true duals (otherwise, just hooking up to the flowcrappers) and a tune. hoping for around 30-40 hp/tq gain over stock....
cooter's 4.10's to be installed later on......
