View Full Version : I need tires Damnit!!

I need 2 tires for my Vega. Since this is a tight budget build, I need to save some $ here too. I have 15"X8" rims and 25 1/2" of clearence. 275 50 15 would be great. Anybody have anything ?

Sorry there Bob, I don't have anything laying around except some 235/75 15's that have seen better days.

i had 15x8 rims on my t/a with a 275/50/15 mickeys and they didn't fit the rim all the good. looked akward, like the tire was way to wide for the rim. went to the 15x10 rim and now they look just right. just a heads up really..

I got you. The reason I'm going with those is they are less than 26" . Thats all the room I have.

I have some 255/50/15's but I'm afraid they are too old and I would be scared of the dry rot that may be there.

275/50/15's on a 15x8 rim, looked good to me.

not to me, i dont like how the tire hangs over the lip of the rim. here they are on a 10"

The contact patch is probably about the same between a 275 and 255/245 on an 8" rim.

the 275/50/15 on a 8" rim will prob grow more then it would on a 10" rim . I think the 10" rim makes the tire look better.

Bob you might have to go with a 235/60/15 or a poss a 26x10.50x15 if it will fit cause I think a 275/50/15 on the vega would rub on the inside and the outside.
