There's an autocross event at Langley speedway tomorrow (August 12th).
It's from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. free for spectators not sure of the price to actually run but if you really want to get to know your car autocross is the way to learn about it. Better than any driving school you could take around here.

I would love to go today but I have a lot of work that I have to get done today. Get some good photos and find out when the next meet will be and I will clear some time to go.

I went so heres the low down for everyone. It's sponsored by a group called NASA. The next time will be Sept. 9th. Now get this. Usually you pay $20 or $40 for 3 or 4 runs but not with these guys. Theres 4 heats 2 morning 2 afternoon. each heat is 2 hours. I did just one heat and got 9 runs in today. That is better than a steal in my book.

1st run was a 53.xxx second and the fastest was a 47.7 second run. The course was 1/2 mile exactly. Man what a blast to do it again. I got vid of one run that I gotta download.

I would like to get a group of folks to go next time. Let me know if your in when the time gets closer.

Edit: And to finish off the day I got a Super big gulp of mountain dew all over the interior of the Mach.

It's still optimizing but should be up in a few.

Yeah it's coned off. My top speed was just under 70 mph. It consists of higher speed runs and technical areas too.

Wow, how do you know where to go with all of those orange cones on the road?

Pretty easy once you do a walk thru of the coarse. Doesn't hurt that I've done it before to.

Good looking course from what I can see. Where's it at?
I'd like to pick your brain sometime for some ideas about improving my times.

I heard the courses at ACU-4 were big. Nice course and driving you have that car set up really well.

thanks.
The car is pretty much stock suspended. I need to finish up my front brake upgrades (12.8" LS1 fronts with braided lines) and build my new sbc.

The way that thing was turning I would have thought the suspension was pretty modded. I didn't know the 3rd Gens handled so well.

You gonna go to Langley next weekend? I'd like to walk the course with ya and get your ideas on a good line.

Slacker. j/k

So, who's coming? I would show no later than about10:30 - 11:00. I'm shooting to be there around 9:30 - 10:00.

It's free to watch. So come on out and see if it's something you would njoy doing. Besides, you can always sit in the bleachers with the peanut gallery and make fun of the ricers.
