only need the lift to run the line underneath, so after you install the rest there should be one open.

Just want to thank Chris and Rich for the help putting the headers on the 02. We did 12 hours strait of wrenching on 4 cars today. I am glad we also did my plugs today; those ones we pulled out were almost dead. I would have started having some problems real soon with those old ones in. How did the ride home feel Rich? Could you tell any difference with the new torque arm setup?

I can definitly feel the 9" now that all that vibration goes strait to the floor. It's not bad at all up to 65, going any faster and its real noticeable. But I guess, you want go fast stuff, street car feel will go away. The ride quality is better with the stock height springs back in the back.

Installing Headers is fun isn't it?

They were shorties, wasn't too bad pulling the stockers, except for a few broken flange bolts and stuff. Also had 1 spark plug fall apart. Guy told Craig that the car had a tune up, uh no. It still had the factory Delcos in it, tips were almost gone. Makes me think I need a plug change on my Z. Might be the next adventure in the shop for me.

yes indeed, go fast parts do take away from the nice cushy ride.

had to use the plasma cutter to get the **** o2 to clear the motor mount. the knuckle head who installed the bung in the header pointed it in the wrong direction. other than that and what rich said wasn't bad at all.

Plasma Cutter! I've been trying to find someone to lend me one for the weekend forever... I have air and 220V but no plasma cutter. I have a bunch of parts I need to cut out, and a firewall plate to make. My trusty 4" cutoff wheel is getting tired.

Guess we will have to make Sunday at Chris' place the official HRFbody and ECD gear head day. Its the day of rest and turning wrenches.

Sounds like a good time, Where's the shop? I'm assuming way up on the Peen insula somewhere? By the time I got there and let the car cool off enough to work on it, it would be time for the return trip home! Thanks for the offer on the Plasma, but I think I'm just going to draw them up in Acad and have them water jetted. Kalbones is offering that service now. Dyno Day next Sat, we'll see what Jazz's car puts down once and for all!

grn95t/a
01-26-2010, 06:11 PM
not sure really. put it all back together and it still missed. but ran out of time to check why. did find that the intake is sucking air real bad. so i'll fix that first before i check the plug.

The other day, either at BBS or at Chris' place, someone said they needed a trunk flap devider, ya know the little plastic thing with carpet that folds down to store T-tops, well the LS1Tech "Pay it forward" thread has one if that person is still needing it. Check it out here, and I think all you have to do is pay for shipping:
