Im looking at looking a stout little street car out or it. I'll eventually take it to the track every now and then but its going to mostly be a street car. Its got around 170xxx on the clock right now so im looking at doing a rebuild in the near future with some performance mods (cam, rocker arms, valve springs, a little head work, so on and so on.....). The very next thing im doing to it here very soon will be rims because I cant stand the ones that are on it.

Okay, my car has stock body panels and the instrument cluster is original as are the HVAC controls and the carpet. That's mostly stock right? If you were to weight the car only about 10% of total mass of the car is different from when it was new. That's mostly stock IMO. :)

Anyway, glad to have another member. Especially another LT1. You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting something powered by a LSx motor these days.

Rims are not that bad, 5 star is always good looking, maybe get some lower profile tires. Someone that just posted above me is about to have the 98-02 stock style "snowflake" rims, if you like thoes, then do some talking to the man.

stock................uh huh. i dont believe you.

the rims are aluminum but they were painted and looked like crap when i got the car. i repainted them to make them look a little better. if they were stripped backdown and polished back out im sure they would look alot better but there is just something about them.....for some reason i just dont like them. im not sure why but i dont and it bugs me....lol

I'm glad LS1tech doesn't give me crap for putting our websites up on theirs, but we're not really competing with them anyway. Now we just have to get HRFbody back up and running. I still owe Steve money for his admin share.

Oh yeah, we also have a HRFbody Myspace, Facebook and FQuick page. MYFACE/SPACEBOOK is ran by my wife.

hell we could have the tires swapped and you could keep your new tires???

DomesticDisturbance
01-19-2010, 09:48 PM
it dont matter really. if those are in decant shape then we can just swap the set.....unless you want to swap tires.

Tdevil55
01-19-2010, 09:57 PM
You can take a look at them and see. I myself only put about 3k on them when I got them, and before that they were just sitting in someones garage. I think they took them off soon after they got the car. They came off a 01 I think the guy said. Only thing I had to do to get them to fit was shave some of the inside center of the rim on the rear. So mite want to keep them set that way for now, the fronts fit fine with no adjusting. Oh, and I may not have shaved enough off when I did it, cause they fit tight on that center area, so a little force may be needed to convince them off, but they fit fine around the studs.

DomesticDisturbance

yea i mean from the pics they look fine so thats why i said it doesnt matter. itll be easier to swap the rims and tires as they are rather than swapping tires from rim to rim. so yea im good with them
