It has always been a few jack @sses that have given the rest of use a bad rap.

Unfortunitly it only takes one to end an event for the rest of us.

I've never been there myself, but it definitely seems like a staple to the car community. I'm glad everyone involved has come to an agreement. Now everyone act like adults ;)

If you do a burnout, it better be by the rear ****ing tires! ;)

That was the problem before. It was the rear tires that were spinning of some young Dodge owners and some littering by many.

Whenever I went it was always a pretty good atmosphere. I'm glad it's back on again.

Those young dodge owners? :) I used to be one of those... then I was bordering on being bankrupt. I'm glad I took care of that!

I never really did a good burnout in that car. What a shame!

Priorities, good to have em. I hope it's working out for you.

I still haven't done a nice smokey burnout in mine and I have driven over 50k miles on it. I've cleaned the tires off but that's it.

The problem is when a place such a Bas Pro is kind enough to let us come and hang out we all need to be on our best behavior. Not only in the parking lot but on the streets around the area. I am extremely happy the show is back!

We should pick a place and all show up so we can have an ECD section at one of the meeting spots

sounds like a plan, but untill i get mine tuned. the only one i can make is hardee's. she is loading up real bad at stoplights. saving the pennies right now to get her to ed for the tune.

Is Ed still the tuner of choice? I'm still thinking about PCM4Less. I mean $175 is a pretty smoking deal and I'm not running anything "exotic".

yes for a dyno tune locally on a LT1 he is deff the right chioce. for yours a bryan herter mail order will be spot on. you will be very happy with it. and to boot i belive he still only charges like 50.00 to reflash for new changes/upgrades as you go along. i ran pcm4less tunes for along time on a few fbodies, had excellent results on all of them.

Sweet. Glad to know I'm sending my money to the right place. I figure my setup is pretty tame and really should work okay with the mail order tune. I'll still get a dyno pull though to get some HP numbas!

yep, just give him as much detailed info on your setup and she'll be spot on..

I'm still hoping to make 400hp this time. That should be 365 or better at the tire which is 75hp more than I was making before this build. I'm being conservative though so maybe I could see a few more ponies than that if I'm lucky. Next thing will be getting the beast to put that power to the ground.

KB SRT8 Challenger goes down to the old LT1
Sat night I took the Camaro to Bass Pro (in Mexico) and the turn out was pretty good. When I was leaving there was a set of head lights sticking pretty close to me as I am making my left onto El Mercury Blvd to make my way back across the border. When we finish making the turn the car behind quickly move into the other lane to try an come around so since the coast was clear I go ahead and nail it. This arrests his overtaking maneuver and I seem to be pulling on him some but we were quickly getting to speeds that are just too much for that area so I shut it down. At this point he comes along side and gives the thumbs up and I notice that it is a new Challenger SRT8 so right away I knew that he was not stock. We cruised down the blvd together and finally catch a light but not in a place you would want to run but we did get chat for a few moments. He seemed pretty surprised at how strong the Camaro was and I found out the he was supercharged. When the light turned green he decide to follow me onto Senior James River Bridge. We get past one car and there in no one in front of us for miles. After we cross the span we get side by side at about 55mph in 3rd (for both of us I find out later) and he gives the 3 honks and we hit it pretty even. We are next to each other for a split second and then I start to pull. By the top of 3rd I had a 1-2 car lead and when we hit 4th I start pulling even more. I end up taking it through 4th and even hit 5th briefly before I shut down with him ~5 cars (maybe more) back. When we get to the other side we stop and talk. The car is an Orange '09 6spd Challenger SRT8 that has the Kenne Bell 2.8L twin screw with a 9psi pulley on a stock engine. The car was done a DTP and has NT VENOM on its plate. The owners name is Dan (I think) and he was pretty cool. He got out of his car and shook my hand saying that I was the first car to beat him. He thought for sure that I was running nitrous, but I explained that it was just an NA stroker old school LT motor. I never did get to find out exactly how much power he was putting down but according to the KB web site the 9 psi kit is advertised at 542 rwhp on an otherwise stock engine. It is kind of funny, because since I have been driving the ZR1 some my Camaro has seemed kind of slow but I guess that it still holds it own .
