The Economy Who is two blame?

This is a simple question to see who everyone blames for our current down turn. I have heard several theories lately and thought it would be interesting to see what everyone here thought about it. Please be as detailed as possible on why you think what you think.

I'm sick and tired of saying hearing "oh, who's to blame?" How about "Let's fix this."

That's simple enough to say. Let's fix the economy. Ok, well what if I said let me go out and fix my car. Well if I don't know what caused the problem, then it's never going to get fixed is it? I think the same applies with our current situation. So, that means we have to find out what started the quagmire.

I think we know WHAT is wrong with the economy. Using your same analogy, I can't do anything about the person that cut my break lines, but I'll be ****ed if I don't try to fix them.

I blame redneck conspiracy theorists! And leftwing nutjobs! And... oh, well, just about everyone in between that can't handle their ****ed finances.

To a degree I agree with you!
We as a country have rewarded greed, and underhanded tactics. This has been coming for a log time. We have let our politicians make one bad decision after another. Our companies leaders have profited at the expense of the employee. We have praised the tactics used and never looked at what it could cost us. This has been coming since the late 80's and has been over looked by almost all. No one wanted to deal with the problem. I don't believe that this is a big conspiracy but a good example of not putting off till tomorrow what should be done today. The Democrats will blame the Republicans and vice versa but both played an equal part in this. But this is a time for all Americans to bind together and learn from the past and build a better tomarrow. We have a long hard road ahead of us. We all need to be more financialy responsible as individuals and a country.
So my answer to the question is that every one of us is responsible and some level. And we ALL need to work together to fix it. I have heard some out landish clames about how Bush, Obama, or other politision has caused it. It seems that most people are just happy to blame someone and not look for a real answer. I am just looking to see what others think.

We live in a society where everyone wants to make 50 bucks an hour, plus bennies for making widgets. These widgets, because of our desire to earn a good living, then become too expensive for us to buy, because we can get the same widgets from WALMART for 1/3 the price. Follow me? It applies to **** near everything. Collectively, we all want top dollar for what we do. Those that manufacture, price their manufactured goods out of competition.

So, as a whole, we want to earn as much as we can, but spend as little as we can for what we want. There's nothing wrong with that, until you factor in the exportation of our money, because of the crap we buy that's made overseas.

As for who's to blame, there's plenty to go around. I for one won't accept a bit of it, as I didn't buy a house I couldn't afford. I buy as little foreign made stuff as possible. I make it a point to buy American as often as possible, even if it costs a little more. I don't have a stupid amount of debt. I didn't contribute to the stock market rise and fall. Heck I didn't even vote for BHO.

As for how to fix it, I can def say I don't believe in spending our way out of it. Historically it's never worked. Even the CBO warns against it. Too much of this stuff is out of our hands, but shouldn't be.

I can say, that the position we're in now, is no where near as bad as it will most likely be in the next few years, I can blame that on one man, or at least one administration.

Well we need to fix a lot here in America. Look at our education system. Several states have done away with grades for a pass fail system. So a D and an A are the same in the new grading system. So there is no drive to better ourselves. So what will the next generation of leaders look like? We have taken the everyone is equal way to far. No two are the same. Why should we all be treated like we are the same? WE should have the same opportunity and not depend on age, race sex, or wealth. It may never happen but it should. We need to start fixing thing from the bottom up. We need to do what is right and not worry if it hurt someones feelings. We are way to "PC" anymore. My two cents anyway.

Honestly, about 5 years ago when people started putting $6,000 rims on $600 cars I really started wondering how long it would be before things went to hell. I say this because it was a symptom of the bigger picture, which is people no longer feel like they need to work for what they want, but somehow feel that they deserve things for some reason. People bought houses they couldn’t afford and stuff they couldn’t afford and cars, and vacations and tennis shoes for their kids with lights in them, and Prada purses and etc. etc. etc. and so on.

People haven’t been living within their means for so long how could we not have expected this. Now on the other hand, the government still hasn’t gotten the picture. Spending 30% more each year than you take in (spending – taxes = deficit spending) will put the entire government in the same shape as people with houses they can’t afford. You cannot spend yourself out of a recession. You cannot spend your way out of a recession. YOU CANNOT SPEND YOUR WAY OUT OF A RECESSION!!!!

I wonder why other people don't understand this. I know intelligent people that don't understand this.

What's the old saying, you got to spend money to make money?

Currently the government is spending money like they can just print it. Oh wait they do. LOL Why don't we just print a whole bunch more money and the problem will be over. Right? ROFL

There's a difference between advertising or investing, and what the current Admin is doing. It's not even close.

You couldn't run a company the way they run the government. The difference is, it's not their money. They spend as if they have no one to answer to. No tax man, no regulators, no stock holders. Heck, they act like they don't think they have to answer to voters.

1.There is no such thing as a good tax.

2.We contend that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.
