Chevy Turbodiesel Questions... (random)

Does anyone know much about the 90's chevy trucks? I know its kind of a random thread... I thought about taking the exhaust manifolds off of a 95' turbodiesel and putting them on a 350 gaser to turbocharge it. The only thing that has been bothering me is I dont know if the turbodiesels had the same block size. If it would work though.....it would be bad ass

I don't know off the top of my head but last time I was in Always Auto salvage they had a 90's turbo diesel in the lot you might be able to pull the maifold and see if it would match up.

i think they were 6.2/6.5 liter internationals?

I believe they were 6.2/6.5.... hmmm i wonder how much the exhaust ports differ though.

big time if i remember right, when i work at freedom chevy we did alot of the frito lays trucks. they were the 6.5's and had a very large port. just run up to advance auto and have them pull a set of gaskets for both engines. and campare them side by side.

Sounds like a good idea... a lot better than trying to find one in the junk yard....lol. Do you think the turbo would be fine for the small block or how much it would change?
