Much like wheres Waldo. The only internal part that was removed was the rocker arm. Can you find the push rod?
I lost a pushrod somewhere on 64East bound near Greenbrier today. Everyone please keep a look out for it. My motor really doesn't run all that well without it. Hopefully we'll find it today and get in put back in tomorrow.
Joe said it might have bent and fallen into the lifter valley. If it did I'm hoping I can just straighten it with a hammer. Good as new!

wow. If Where's Waldo came with a magnifying glass I might have been able to see it. Otherwise, **** those pics are small ;)
More pics tomorrow when I tear into the motor...

Nope, those were the old ones. Chris picked up the new ones today.
The lost one was found. Bent and broke.
New setup will be GM LS7 lifters and Comp. Cams Magnum push rods. I'm actually hoping to pick up a little horsepower over my original 180,000 mile lifters and stock pushrods. Any guesses on that?
BTW: The lifters are about 1/2 the price of any performance lifter ($108 from GM parts direct)

the ls7 lifters area good choice, same ones i'm using. but you better check that pushrod lenght! very very important! have you determined why the pushrod bent/broke?
Haven't pulled the intake yet, probably Saturday or Sunday. I'll definitely check the push rod length. I already got a stock set but might have to send them back. It's possible the push rod broke because the lifter failed or vice versa, I'll know more when the parts are out...
LS7 roller lifters are on the way. Should have the car back up and running in a few days. Only issue is maybe needing custom length push rods.
Just to update this. Now that I've built a completely NEW motor. The problem with this one was that the spring seats were the wrong ones and were causing the springs to bind. The machine shop told me this when they disassebled the heads so I could reuse the springs (which had less than 2000 miles on them) in my fresh motor. A mistake that ended up detonating that motor, which was a costly mistake. Just another case where an unmatched part caused an epic fail.
