We're pretty proud of this one.
98 Fbody
stock lower end
12 bolt/4.10 gears
steel driveshaft
dual disc clutch
OK, that's what its got going against it.
Mods
TFS 215s out of the box, milled to 59.5cc chambers
Custom cam, fairly mild, sub 240s
new lifters, GMs, stock,
pushrods
FAST 92/92, UNPORTED
Had American Racing headers and UD pulley to start with.
Through cats and the rest of the exhaust, no dyno tricks.
SD tune.

We're going to run it open header, and take the manifold off and port it. Then we'll most likely add an electric waterpump. Shootin for the 500 rwhp mark.

Don't know. I'd pretty much have to take it off and see what needs to be done.
This one is three piece. You can take it apart and lay the lower back on the heads, and see how it lines up.
Here ya go............Notice the step in the floor right at the head.

My intake is a 2 piece. Upper lid and lower intake.
The bottom would need to be cut off and welded back.

I so need a 408 with that 92/92. I'd like mid to high 500's at the wheels. (Should we say roll cage needed?) With that kind of power though, I may need to get a 3.70 gear set for the 9".

I'm sure we could do it. But you know, it's all about $$$$. Hate to make it like dat. Can we do it for a reasonable yet profitable cost. Dunno.

Fixed the clutch. Replaced the ring and pinion. It was howling. Pretty much a mechanical make over! LOL

we chatted after i posted that ed, hows everything going at the new place? my shiet is on hold for alittle bit. till we go back to normal hours at work. in short just a lack of cash, lol! hell the sob has been down since july, so whats another month...
Chirs. Same here bro. I'm about $1000 short for finishing my engine right now. My truck went down (transmission rebuilt) and I've also had some medical things going on. Hopefully I'll have mine together in antoher month or two as well. Getting a late start on the race season really sucks!

Don't think about it as getting a late start on this racing season. Think of it as getting a jumpstart on next season!
